This short film is a document of my experience in Paris, France during the 2018 World Cup win, exploring the idea of sports as a tool to unify a nation. 

SHADED

The documentary film “Shaded,” captures a collection of conversations with people of color sharing their first encounters with colorism. "Shaded" was created to force the conversation of how early in life people of color are exposed to colorism and encourage us to have positive conversations about colorism with children and young adults.

Garden of Eden

“Garden of Eden,” follows Jaliyah (Anyanwu Uwa) as she tries to make sense of her life as a young, newly outed lesbian. Following an altercation with her father, the 17-year old is forced into homelessness just neighborhoods away. As Jaliyah’s identity evolves, a friendship with an unlikely sidekick grows, along with her disdain for religion, society, and cultural norms.
